DDJ-SP1 Hardware Unlock Rekordbox 6

As it stands, the DDJ-SP1 does not act as a hardware unlock for performance.  I.E. If you connect a NXS2 setup, the performance mode/DVS mode will not be unlocked when connecting an SP1, it requires a subscription plan.  However the website description and past forums posts indicate that it should: 

DDJ-SP1 feature quote from the Pioneer DJ Website: "Unlock rekordbox performance features by simply connecting the unit to your PC/Mac. And, if you subscribe to the Creative plan, use Cloud Library Sync for seamless library management across multiple devices, and easily make custom versions of tracks in Edit mode." 

Same as the DDJ-XP1 feature performance features description: "Unlock rekordbox performance features by simply connecting the unit to your PC/Mac. And, if you subscribe to the Creative plan, use Cloud Library Sync for seamless library management across multiple devices, and easily make custom versions of tracks in Edit mode."

that it will unlock Rekordbox 6 performance mode.  Why is this still not working correctly?
