XP2 with two CDJ800s and an XZ (and rekordbox)

So I'm after advice if it will work. I have an XZ and two CDJ 800s. I'm thinking of getting an XP2 so then I can use the time code with DVS unlock. Can someone tell me if and how this would work? What feature would I be able to use on the CDJs? Obviously would be great to test before I buy but I don't have that luxury. Thanks :-)
