Lyrics is absolutely terrible...

I think the potential is there! 

BUT

Just like Pulselocker has its limitations as a streaming service (and eventually imploded), I think Lyrics is a work in progress because of exactly what you mentioned. Is the song even in the database? Which version is it? Does it only have synced lyrics for the album cut?

I'd imagine ANY remix or mashup (especially if it's a bootleg) isn't going to be in that database, so like Pulselocker, the people it might be aimed at is more like wedding / mobile jocks that play the standard versions of tracks.

Hey guys, firstly kudos on innovating and doing some pretty exciting stuff for us Video DJs with this and the lighting add on coming soon, really stoked with the announcement and direction you guys are pushing to turn DJing into a full scale performance.

I'm having the same issue as well, most of the tracks that seem to work are more in the top 40 realm so I too tend to have rekord pool edits / remixes which doesn't line up with the lyrics.  As Mike said, will there be user submissions or for tracks with intros outros, some ability to detect the start of the lyrics in the song?  I guess in the same way that Shazam can pick the tune by listening at any point. 

Maybe providing more customization could be a cool future addon (fonts etc of course) but also for remixes or edits allowing us to put in lyric markers to say verse / chorus etc and then it draws on the info from the original.

Anyway, keep up the good work legends, these kinds of announcements always leave me with a big happy smile.

Hi,  I can't even get mine to work.  I have purchased the licence for it and tried it with two tracks (that have apparently downloaded lyric information)  but all i see it a black screen,  Am I missing something simple or not.  The lack of info and trouble shooting info on this add on is shocking.

Did you try a "trial" for rekordbox lyric? Can you see the white screen on lyric panel like below? If lyric panel still black even if you tick "LYRIC" on global section on rekordbox, guess that your graphics card on your PC is not able to work lyric. Could you please try other MAC/PCs?

@Ryan > As @Kanta posted, if you don't see the white screen when you first enable Lyric mode, please try closing and re-opening rekordbox.

Hi, nothing is working still.  I tried to contact support with all my pc details attached 3 days ago and still heard nothing back.  I have uninstalled everything and installed it again and it still does not work.   thanks.

Also, no i did not use the trial.  I purchased the add on first.

The ticket was updated this morning at 00:06 with an internal message. They are working on it, your patience is appreciated.
