Lighting Mode - RB-DMX1

Just how much testing was done? Currently i am finding this completely unusable.

The analysis is very hit and miss requiring customising for pretty much every song/video in my collection, for example identifying breaks as "ups".

I have fixtures for which there are profiles available - but do not function. For example, i have 4 x Equinox Fusion 120 Zoom moving heads. Whichever mode i choose, the heads will move however the leds NEVER illuminate. I guess the dmx value relating to the shutter is set to close rather than open or possibly the dimmer is set incorrectly?

I have similar issues with my ADJ Accu UFO Pros which do not rotate as they should and when in 10 channel mode also do not illuminate.

And this is just to begin!

I was looking forward to using the RB-DMX1 this weekend but i really don't see that happening.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your feedback.

Maybe ADJ Accu UFO does not work on the latest rekordbox because this fixture is an Effects lights, and these Effects light does not support just now.

As for Fusion120, could you please retry mapping both "Fusion 120 Zoom MKII (8ch)" and "Fusion 120 Zoom MKII (White) (8ch)"? And then you mouse-down on this mapping fixture like attached picture to see if light turns on.

I have configured my Fusion 120's as in the attached picture.

1. 8 channel black.    dmx start add. 1.

2. 16 channel black.  dmx start add. 17.

3. 8 channel white     dmx start add. 33.

4. 16 channel white.  dmx start add. 49.

Still getting same results. All heads move in  sync but no light output.

The profile must be sending incorrect dmx values relating to shutter opening or dimmer (or both).

Currently my 14 fixture lightshow has just 4 working lights! Not Usable...

Not impressed.

Dear Sir,

Let me double-check about CH mode on fixtures(hardware).

Please make sure of Fusion 120(hardware side) is in "8ch" mode.

And then, could you please click that fixture on FIXTURE LIBRARY screen to see if the hardware is flashing.

Thanks,

Hi,

I am now using 8 channel mode for all 4 fixtures and when i click on the fixture in the library they do indeed light up! They did not before?

I cant understand how they now work as they certainly didn't before? So thank you for your help in this matter.

I look forward to being able to use my other fixtures and to some improvements in the analysis?

@Andy > They didn't illuminate because the signal being sent to the fixture didn't match what the fixture was expecting to receive. It's important that you select the matching DMX channel mode for your fixture within the software.

Hi Pulse.

Sorry, but the settings were matched. I tried both 8 and 13 channel modes and set the corresponding modes correctly on the fixtures to match.  (i do understand dmx!). I did wonder if it is necessary to restart Rekordbox after making such changes?

Cheers,

Andy.

There may be a hiccup in there somewhere, I know during testing I found one of the venue pages would never illuminate the fixtures, but then closing and re-opening would allow them to function properly.
