Can I ask why you wouldn't simply keep your video USB drive connected in that case?

FollowFilter in collection to remove songs from ”just at the moment not connected Device”.
In performance mode in Rekordbox,
Senario to describe the behind reason of the request:
As both Video DJ and traditional DJ I need because of limit in my Macbook Pro HD space to have all Videos on a separate USB C 3.1 device.
When do normal Music event I only need the internal HD, but the complete collection “folder” in the over left include also when search in the complete collection of a song both the songs on the internal HD but also show songs that I have added to the collection from the Video USB drive that is not connected.
I can come up with two ideas that “solve my issue” that is I see to many songs and some is videos and is very difficult to identify that it is a video (icon for that is missing)”
- To have two different collections, on music and one Video, and in the right click->import to collection you can chose to import to music or video collection.
- Have a DB filter that remove songs from not connected USB device when you start Rekordbox. The DB should be able to have a flag if the tunes is located on your normal internal device or a USB device.

I maybe was describe the background why this feature should be considered not as clear that I maybe should.
But i try again... If you are a DJ that both play music video and only music, you use RB in performance mode, I can understand the comment if we look at prepare mode workflow).
You also are a DJ that not only working with preprepared playlist (ie the old school way of working) and also a huge music archive, and you work some times also with music videos, but very rare.
Maybe once a month you have a Video DJ jobb and the rest of the 7 jobbs that month you only play music.
Why should a DJ in that case need to bring the extra USB with music videos with them the 7 jobs when they are not needed?
The situation in RB as I understand it right now (just migrate from another very well known DJ software so I can have miss understand some functions in RB, but that software also have solve this very simple task by have separate DB for each device).
From a future software performance point of view I should as a software architect look at all type of implementation that can keep the db smaller or remove tables that for just that moment is not needed.

Or... if you simply store the database internally, and the music videos you seldom use externally, you can have them in your collection, they'll just appear as "missing" tracks if the drive isn't connected. That way they're always listed in the database.
