Remapping beat FX on DDJ 1000?

Is there a way to do this in rekordbox, such as changing the pitch beat effect to rev delay or something? just like you can change color fx to other sound color fx? Also what does the backspin/echo/vinyl brake setting do in rekordbox?

I have noticed that when you load a beat effect, you can go to Rekordbox FX1 slot 1 and change the effect. The level/depth button then works for that new effect. Of course as soon as you change the effect type via the select knob then its lost, but a nice trick anyhow.

I want to do this also. I know that it saves custom fx on the colour fx section. But when I replace one of the beat effects, like said above,it just reverts back to default when ever you choose another beat effect.

Sorry, what do you mean by "reverts back to default" -- what is reverting?

Pulse, Color FX are also hardware based and you can change them via software (not sure if it changes them internally or its using software fx if you choose USER MODE) .. also what Barry was talking about is true, if you select any beat fx on controller, you can select any effect in software and using it, untill you turn fx select knob .. then it reverts to original effects. (hate the mt delay instead of old delay =D)

It will be very nice to have an option to change defaults.

ok to all of you who hate MT Delay and want to use old DELAY instead, save this to .csv and import

FX1-1Select.DELAY,DELAY,Button,9422,,,,,,,,,,,FX select

you can remap all effect to your likings with this trick, just open original ddj1000 mappings, copy them to new file, change what you want and import.

PS: DDJ 1000 is using software beat effects when working with rekordbox (MIC excluded)

;)
