They're not currently included to provide a lower cost, but you certainly are welcome to use a non-Pioneer DJ audio interface for output - rekordbox does support that.
Bonjour,
Pour pouvoir choisir son propre DAC ou éviter sur les entrées une conversion ACD-DAC, ils seraient intéressant d'ajouter des entrées et sorties numériques SPDIF ou même AES sur les contrôleurs DDJ futurs.
Hello,
It would be nice to add on next DDJ products SPDIF inputs and outputs. (or AES)
It would avoid ACD-DAC conversion in mixer, and the avaibility to choose our own DAC to improve the sound.
Regards,
Olivier F.

Hi,
"Lower cost" ?
The price are already very high..... your marketing is very good and customers pay a lot for your gear....
It's more easier to connect another DAC with SPDIF/AES than add an USB soundcard. And in this way we can use internal DDJ headphone at the same time with a 2 way external DAC via SPDIF/AES. (Master out doesn't work stable, and it's not a solution)
I'm ready to pay more for a DDJ controller with SPDIF/AES IN OUT, only on controller that already cost 1000/2000 EUR.
DDJ-2000 ? why not ?
It's just a suggestion and don't give a too fast definitive answer.
Listen to your customers.
Peace
:)
We do consider the feedback from our customers when planning / designing products, and yes - including a digital output from a DDJ would add to the cost, especially in a product range where the need / demand for such a feature is relatively low.
To be perfectly honest, you're the first one I can recall ever asking for it. And while you may be ready to pay more, for others, it's just one more thing they won't use and don't want to pay to have.
i requested exactly this longer time ago. especially for those bringing their Controllers to a Club where a djm mixer is installed and Need to get through this. ist way better to Keep the signal digital as Long as possible.
from a technical view ist not really more exensive since modern dacs are prepared out of the box for an spdif out. you just Need to hook up a tiny Transmitter and thats all ;-) was also no Problem to add a diy spdif out to a cdj 350/850 for nearly no costs. those Transmitters are really really cheap.
i would really like to see spdif out on future Controller and hook up my rme adi2 on this :-)
And as I said before, you can use your own audio device for a digital output if that's what you really need.
