You can do that now with the MIDI mapping. Personally, I never use any of the key shift / pitch play type functions, so I've remapped those pads to lighting control.

Lights control with sampler
It would be great if there will be ability in rekordbox options to choose "use sampler for samples" or "use sampler to control lights". When I play with DDJ-RX controller I personally don't use samples in my mixes, but if there would be possibility to control lights colours it would be my mostly used functionality! Or even set custom lighting macros (f.e. strobe all lights, enable only lasers and etc) with sampler buttons!!!
