Headphone cues not working?

Hello everyone!

I use a DDJ-RB with rekordbox. I have done for around a year, and its always worked fine. However I recently had to get a new hard disk, and reinstall rekordbox and all my drivers.

Now, headphone output will ONLY play if master cue is on, and it requires that the crossfader/channel fader be in position where that channel comes out of the live speakers. This kinda defeats the point of cuing in headphones.

I have 5 sound output options: I have "Line (Pioneer DDJRB)", "realtek HD speakers", "ASIO4ALL", "DDJRB Asio" and "Fl Studio Asio".

Out of these, only Fl studio and Line (DDJRB) output to the speakers plugged into the back of my controller, asio4all and realtek output through laptop speakers (as expected). DDJRB Asio (which is what I used to use) doesnt work at all, if I select it it simply says "No audio device"

Line and FL only output to headphones if none of the faders muting the track, and master cue on. Meaning that I can only hear tracks through my headphones which are already live.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Is it an outdated driver?

Thanks :)

Hey Janga, I have not had experience with the DDJ-RB, but a possible temporary solution could be to try and set up the headphone out to your computer's internal sound card or in your case "realtek" while keeping the master output to the controller.

Rather than (as shown above) having both the master and the headphone running through the controller.

I would still try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers though, and make sure to reboot your computer afterwards.

Best of luck!

My DDJ-400 has a similar issue right now, directly out of the box.
I hear NO sound out of the headphones in either CH1 CH2 or Master Cue
I have double checked that it's not my headphones, as both pairs work on other devices.
I have checked my settings based on what the technical support posts say, yet I am still unable to use my cues no matter what volume or where the xfader or channel faders are positioned.

I have also made sure that I'm on cue with the knob and even turned volume to at max on cue volume, just in case it was really low

help!

@Zac > Same goes for you - this topic is regarding an XDJ-R1, you're using a DDJ-200. Please start your own topic and we'll be happy to help you if you can include additional information, such as the operating system you're using and a screenshot of your audio configuration within rekordbox.
