XDJ - RX2 won't fully connect to MBP

 Hi there, I just bought the XDJ-RX2 and after installing firmware and drivers, I can't get my laptop to load tracks, etc as it should - basically the computer sees the RX2 (it shows up in my Midi studio) and the device sees my Mac but when I hit Midi on the device and load the channels that's where it ends. I've read through  the forums and have worked through the tutorials and none of the trouble shooting I've tried, has worked.

One point that may be relevant, I only realised I had to install the USB connection driver (Link Export) after I had tried connecting to the RX2 and failed the first time. One one tutorial I saw that this should be installed before connecting for the 1st time. Apart from that I did everything as instructed.

Any help would be great as I would like to use my laptop with the RX2 tonight!
