Control Pad FX with Launchpad Pro not possible?

Hallo! I would like to be able to control the Pad FX in Rekordbox DJ with a Launchpad Pro. Now the LP Pro has the main square buttons and some round buttons around them. The main buttons react to velocity and therefore send note on/note off commands.

The round buttons around send control change commands.

Now when I want co control something like Play/Pause in Rekordbox DJ I can use the main buttons. No problem.

But when I want to control the Pad FX with the main buttons it is not possible because they send not on/off but RBDJ seems to expect control change commands. 

Also it is possible to control the Pad FX with the round buttons around the main buttons. But I don't want to use these side buttons.

So how is it possible in RBDJ to control the Pad FX with not on/off?

Please don't tell me I need to use a Midi Translator. Things like this always bring instability into my setup and I really don't want that.
