Buzzing electric noise DDJ1000 speakers

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my new DDJ1000.

When playing a track I ear periodically a electric noise through the sepakers. This noise is more clear when i put for example filter mode at maximum low, music playng and there's like electric buzz that appears and the volume of the noise is clear and do not follow the low filter, I mean is clear!

Don't know if I have to set something in recordbox or into my PC. Please help I'm getting crazy with that!

Thanks!

@Giorgio > Sorry, I meant to get to this sooner -- the problem was likely poorly isolated USB chipset / circuitry. You can hear that from time to time with some less expensive computers due to their design. Glad you were able to troubleshoot it by using VLC, that certainly helps eliminate the software as the source. ;)

There is a known issue similar to what you are describing in the headphone output. It may not be related or it  may just be isolated to your situation. I suggest you contact support

Hi thanks for your reply.

I've noticed that also using only headphone I ear this "electric tic" that appears random. Again this is clear with low filter.

Tryed to disconnetc wi-fi, close all bacground programs, antivirus, bluethoot and also others home plugs. I contact also the support in order to find a solution.

Don't konw if other users has the same problem :(

Here the link of a short recording where the problem appears

I've notice that while listening to the recording with VLC and moving the track forward and back I ear the same electric tic, so probably this sound is coming from my laptop? In this case the controller was off, also speakers and recordbox, just using the laptop.

Other test: using recordbox only (with out controller) music sound is ok but when I use mouse pad for example to adjust the filter I ear that electric tic. Seems like that my laptop react sometimes to the input with the electric noise

Thanks for the support

I don't if I should open a new topic, but I have a DDJ-1000 and I noticed that when I record (and play) with my Latop I have those electircal unbearable noises and when I do it with my PC the sound is clear.

I made some testing and I found that when I disconnect the Laptop charger from the laptop, the record and sound is clear, so definetly something is broken there. I tried to replace the charger (with an original one from the company and it didn't solve the problem).

My laptop is Asus X510UF, does anybody have a clue? Is it a known problem?

Thanks

@Eyal > Unfortunately some computers have poor isolation on their circuitry and as a result, can end up with interference from signal bleed from the charging circuit to other parts of the motherboard, including the USB chipset / bus.

My recommendation would be to try a ferrite core on the USB cable (some have them included, or you can buy snap-on components). That may reduce the undesired interference on the USB connection. Failing that, you may just need to use a different computer. Sorry!

Thanks Bro!

It looks (or sounds...) like it is ok now, I will try a longer recording and update.
