Unplugging DJM 900 NXS2 crashes 2016 Macbook Pro

I own a DJM 900 NXS 2 which I attach via USB-C to a 15" 2016 Macbook Pro. Everything works, but when I unplug the Mixer, while it is still selected as an audiointerface in the input/output section the touchbar of the computer crashes and the system becomes unusable. I have to restart the computer in order to get back to normal.

The point is that this does not happen when I unplug an apogee audio interface while it is working.

Could anyone with a similar system please verify this issue?

Yeah, those are the ones which have been identified (by Serato, and others), as units most likely to experience this problem. It's good to know (but not necessarily good for the outcome) that at least you're using one of the identified models, but I'll pass that back to our product team for additional input.

The point is that I can turn off the Mixer and the computer switches from external to internal. Only when unplugging the usb-cable either on the mixer or the computer/touchbbar does the computer crash.

Has there been an official update for this problem yet?

If you're using a USB-C connection, the recommendation is to use a powered-hub, however certain MacBook Pro models may still be affected and as such, we do not recommend disconnecting the DJM-900NXS2 while in operation.
