Did you ever find an answer to this? Very strange behavior. Never had a sequencer where the sound is audibly quantizing right as its being played. Totally throws playing off.

Help. Toraiz SP-16 When I record beats live with quantize on the sounds stutter.
When I record pad hits live in record mode if I have the quantize on the SP acts like it wants to work as I'm putting in the beats. In other words the pad I'm hitting will not sound if it's off the quantize grid. This can't be right is it?.MPCs correct after the you hit not while you hit. Also it does the same thing if quantize is on in play mode and I'm just hitting the pads to get a idea. Thanks for any help. This is killing me.
