BEAT JUMP - MIDI - ENCODER!

Hi,

PLEASE MAKE BEAT JUMP ENCODER MAPPABLE - not just buttons!

I know probably nobody will care or this will never happen, but that is why I use Traktor still and not Rekordbox. One detail - Beat Jump can be mapped to a encoder!

First of all. Making beat jump a button is wrong thinking int the first place. Especially where you have freaking huge silver encoders on new CDJ's!

I know it might be hard to wrap your head around this, but beat jump on encoder is far superior than on buttons? Why?

Well, you can simply "scroll" through a track (even live) and quickly navigate to a part you like in seconds. One long scrooooool and you are in a verse. Not - press this button 32 times! Nobody uses that!

After short practice it gets natural and you can jump to parts you like intuitively in second or two. Since I had this in Traktor my whole DJ style changed. I can jump to a part of track without cuepoints. Just scroll forward, few scrolls back and you are set. Plus you can scroll live and be creative (shutter effect) This is amazing feature but NOT on a button. On a encoder!

Please, just add one line of the code in Rekordbox and add encoder option to beat jump mapping. This is only thing that is holding me back.

 Thanks.

PS> on CDJ's beatjump should be mapped to big silver encoder. Or at least there should be option to enable this. Try it you won't believe you could live without it. I promise.

@Mike > You could map a larger jump button; no need to press the 1 beat jump 32 times, simply press the 32 beat jump button once.

There are plenty of changes and improvements we'd love to see to the MIDI tool, but it's not a high-priority change as the majority of Pioneer DJ controllers are able to support the functions needed. 3rd party devices aren't a priority for the devs. Sorry!

I've mapped the Loop Size and Loop Move commands to a single rotary on my X1 in Rekordbox. Its not the same as beat jump but it's closest I can get with a rotary.
