@Lofty > Except that you can't play those videos while performing.
We're still waiting for this - my understanding is it's quite a technically complex thing to change, hopefully they'll nail it down!
I can't understaind why video's and audio files have to be in separate playlist. Serato has been doing this for years. This is slowing my performance down. I recently bought the new Pioneer DDJ 1000 with hopes of giving Rekordbox DJ a try but now I'm considering switching back. Just don't think the way organizes libraries is clean and efficient. I'm a nationally touring DJ and was hoping to keep all my playlist within one software. Any idea if this is being urgently looked at? I see a lot of DJ's find this frustrating as well as the software not analyzing great or using the Camelot key system.

Sorry, the Video plug-in is not getting updates from the development team. I have made these complaints several times. Serato, Virtual DJ, Cross DJ and DJay Pro are far better than Rekordbox DJ with regard to video playback. The video plug-in is extremely heavy compared to other software. The functions for audio playlist are not present for video playlist. Histories can not be converted into videos playlist, among several other problems that have been reported and never corrected.
Unfortunately I'm being forced to use the other softwares to be able to play videos. I have a macbook pro (i5, 16 GB memory) and rekordbox does not work properly. The other programs work perfectly, with no crashes. With rekordbox a video file plays only a few seconds and then freezes.
I have seen the report of these problems here, and also posted several problems, but nothing is solved.
I have all my videos linked to my audio files in the same playlists. I'm not sure why you can't do the same. I run video that is synced with each track and use the crossfader to blend. I essentially VJ and DJ at the same time and it looks very professional.
It takes some optimization of your laptop but Rekordbox DJ runs way more stable than Serato did for me. Main reason I made the switch. I'll help you guys any way I can to get it running right for you. Is this what you are after? this is all live

@Duhamel
There is an easy way to have "rekordbox mixed media"
I put a vid on YouTube - just need a pre video version
I've been with mixed for awhile and no issues ( 2012 MacBook pro with Yosemite)
