M4A file format Not Supported

HI Guys,

I am kinda new to this XDJ thing so I might be doing stuff terribly wrong here, but...

In the manual and on the XDJ-700 itself it says it supports AAC. Well M4A is an AAC format.

So I am using RekordBox 5.x software for exporting M4A files to an external drive. These are  files that play without a problem in Recordbox software itself.

SO after expoerint I hook up the drive to the XDJ. It reads the files, folders, I can select the track, it starts to read the wave data and then suddenly...BANG : Error 8305 Unsupported File format.

Apparently, seeing the many many issues with this error in these forums, the players are quite specific in what they will and will not play.

I have seen the lists in the manual but apparently they are inaccurate as these type of files are not playable, at least not with XDJ-700 from USB.

The odd thing is that when I load the same files onto my iPhone and use the iPhone App to connect with the XDJ-700, the same files play without a problem.

Please explain and even beter, fix this persistent  bug in these players.

Thank you

Peter B
