No sound from speakers or headphones on XDJ-RX2

With the XDJ-RX2 connected and rekordbox in PERFORMANCE mode, press the MIDI button, then press each of the DECK LOAD buttons (1 & 2; they will blink). Once they're connected, you'll see the collection listed on the RX2 screen.

Open the rekordbox preferences to the AUDIO tab and you should see Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2 showing as the AUDIO device. The MIXER MODE can be INTERNAL or EXTERNAL, the chief difference being whether or not you can apply an effect to the SAMPLER (internal mixer mode required) or the AUX input (external mixer mode required).

Scroll down to find the OUTPUT CHANNELS; if you have INTERNAL selected, you'll see XDJ-RX2: MASTER and PHONES as your outputs. If you're using EXTERNAL, then you'll see separate output selections for each rekordbox deck, select the matching channel for the XDJ-RX2.

With the channel selectors for DECK1 (CH1) and DECK2 (CH2), and the trim turned up, load a track and hit play. It will be playing within rekordbox, and then you'll see levels on the channel meter (adjust the trim as necessary), then raise the channel fader and adjust the MASTER level until you see the same signal measured on the master.

Now have it fixed. reloaded all software. Turned system off and on again and all worked. Thanks for the support.

Hi i'm having same issues. i've done all of the above. i can press play button but nothing will show on level meter and also can't hear through headphones whilst in performance mode. sound is playing through macbook not through monitor speakers. everything is updated drivers and firmware. can anybody help?

I can select tracks from controller and load but cannot use up faders and EQ no lights appear on mixer.

Forgot to mention in rekordbox setting it doesnt appear in audio device but at the bottom when i connect it says xdj rx 2 is connected?

Did you properly allow the drivers to be installed in the first place?

i'm sure i did, i've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them twice now. i don't know what to do. audio device comes up as aggregate device only.

Hi Kerion. I found out not from pioneer another source, I had to allow my controller from being blocked in system preferences on my mac. Unlock it and allow it. Hope this helps as it was very frustrating for me but got there in the end. Let me know how you get on.
