New Computer move iTunes bridge.

Hi,

I have moved to a new computer, I have managed to move all tracks and RB database, all my songs in RB have all the metadata in tact.

My issue is, previously I had the iTunes sync on, but when I selected to turn it on again after the new install, RB re-imported all iTunes songs, so I now have two copies of everything, one copy with all data and waveform etc in tact, and another copy that i have to re-analyse.....

Is there a way around this, or am I now going to have to de-select the iTunes sync and just import each new track manually?

Thanks

Chances are your new computer has a different username or different iTunes library / path to the iTunes library, and as such, when you went to sync, it was effectively syncing a new source -- even if all the music therein was the same.

The way to remove them would be to sort by import date or location and toss all the newly imported duplicates, then re-assess your current configuration vs. your existing config to determine where the error was made.

Ok, so the home user folder was slightly different (DAV instead of Dav)

Now my issue is I have renamed the user folder to the correct "Dav" which is what the original file path is supposed to be, but now everytime i open RB it re-imports all my songs, at first go I thought ok lets re-analyse all my songs, I did this, but RB keeps doing it EVERYTIME !!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP!! I am wasting hours on this!!!

Never mind I've simply removed everything and starting again.

Such a pain moving computers, as if there is even 1 small discrepancy, it messes your whole collection.
