Rekordbox keeps crashing when loading tracks from iTunes

Hi All

So I've treated myself to a set of XDJ RX2 and now using record box. I use my iTunes account for all my music with about 22000 tracks on there.

I dj anything from big night clubs to small venues so nice to have the choice of music when doing this but for some reason it won't let me load all my tracks to rekordbox without it crashing.

Every time I go to import iTunes folder it always crashes about halfway through (11363 tracks) is there a reason for this? Ive tried to see if some of the tracks are not there and all the tracks in this list are all there.

Please help as this is stopping me form using the decks full time and becoming a real problem.

Hey Lance, the problem is not an easy one to pinpoint as there are a number of reasons this might happen...

- the songs are from Apple Music (streamed; not local)

- the songs are purchased from iTunes but not downloaded to your computer yet

- the songs are DRM-protected (typically this is only with older purchased songs from back when Apple put copy-protection on their songs)

- the file path + name of that song exceeds 255 characters

- the file is in a format which can not be imported to rekordbox
