Importing Tracks Off USB for B2B on a DDJ-RX

It seems like this question has been asked before, but I'd like to know if there has been any change in recent updates.

I've got a house party coming up and I'm hoping to go b2b with a friend of mine on my ddj-rx (so working off my laptop).

Last time we tried this, we had a ton of issues importing his tracks off USB into Rekordbox with with the cue points, grid alignments, etc. and just ended up winging it without any of this and it was fine, but obviously not ideal. IIRC, we kept running into issues involving the master database and I was worried that making any changes would mess with my own master library.

Is there a way to plug + play tracks from his USB similar to the functionality on a CDJ/XDJ? I'm hoping to find a solution that doesn't involve me importing all of his tracks in advance of the event and re-sorting them with cue points, etc. so we can throw down effectively.

It could be the last time you tried it you were using a version of rekordbox that didn't support loading content from a "guest" USB device. Now you can simply connect his export drive, then select a track from it and load it to a deck without having to import anything.
