FollowXDJ-RX2 won't play anything from laptop DJ Link
Just got a new XDJ-RX2 and really loving the fact the plug and play convenience of a $2k machine.
So after installing all the drivers on /support, reinstalling rekordbox, deleting my library and importing again, restarting multiple times, I still can't get rekordbox to work with a macbook pro osx 10.13.6
Whether I select it from the controller or from the laptop, it either hangs there with the track on 00:00:00 and being unresponsive, or I get "e-8306 no file". It will display the waveform before it does this btw. So it can obviously see the file.
I'm all out of ideas, obviously super glad to have finally paid for this machine after being on turntables and serato for a decade with zero issues.

Worth noting that the uninstall script gives this output, which suggests that the driver isn't installing (despite it saying it's successful every time of the 5 times I've tried it)

Also there is no firewall turned on on this macbook.
I'm trying to preempt the scripted responses because from searching it appears you get one boilerplater answer and then you're on your own.
Ok after a LOT of googling, disabling the System Integrity of my mac, and some more googling. Like, literally hours worth, I found a post regarding NFS. I use vagrant for work and it looks like the pioneer software can't handle having an NFS daemon running at the same.
Can you please make this a) Slightly less terrible for the end user who has to wander around broken links and shitty unsolved threads with no response (talk about demoralising), and b) Make the software a bit more robust? I use vagrant everyday, and I have to move the /etc/exports file and restart just to get rekordbox to run as it should. This is not good enough for industry standard software on devices costing thousands of dollars. Why is it even creating a USB network? Use the protocol, it's fast enough for Serato and Traktor.
