Syncing Bpm's with non round figures. Such as 123.9 & 122.7 bpm

Hey,

Alright I'm rolling cdj 900's and djm 900Nexus.

When I've been syncing two track with differnet bpms for example I've been using the rule a mate taught me of going halfway between two bpms.

For example if syncing a 123 with a 124 bpm Ill increase the 123 track to .4 to where it changes to 124 and add another .4 on which makes the total 80. (ie halfway between 123 and 124) & do the opposite of that for the 124 track to bring it down.

This works perfectly for me but throws a spanner in the works if a track is 123.7 for example. Cannot seem to find that golden rule I'm missing. if anyone understands what I'm talking about id be amazed and gracious.

Thanks

Sorry, I've been DJing for over 20 years and I don't understand the logic or necessity of doing that... besides, half-way between 123 and 124 is 123.5.

As long as you're changing the pitch less than 10%, you should be fine.
