pioneer ddj-sb3

Hello,

I had a numark dj controller and it worked good but I needed a better controller with more options and bought the ddj-sb3. But it is driving me crazy and I will explain why.

When I plug in the controller it has some serious constant humming, and it is very loud. Even when the controller is turned down it is still there. And there is also interference noise when different lights light up on the controller.

My last controller did not have this problem but it did not have a internal sound card either.

I have seen people saying to turn down the microphone sound on the back but this does nothing to fix the problem. I am using a cheap Aux to 3.5mm cable to hook the controller to a external speaker and to my desktop computer line in and get the same loud hum from each no matter which one I hook it up to.

I am using my desktop computer with this controller I do not know if that information will help but just putting it out there.

I really like this controller but the hum and weird noise when different lights light up on the controller are making this seem like a pos.

Any help please,I have tried to read more on this online but nothing is helping,

Any help please,

Thank you for your time,

Robert

Okay,

I have done some tinkering and think I have found a fix to this. This is plugged into my computers USB and anything connected to my computer directly(headphone jacks, speakers powered by my computers USB) has the terrible hum and noise when the lights on the controller light up.

So trying to use the controller with line in on my computer to use headphones to mix is a total no go unless I want to deal with the background noise. Also I was getting the same issues with my powered speaker because it was also being powered by a cord coming from my computers USB.

So I changed the power cord going to my speakers from one coming from my computers USB to one from the wall outlet and it totally made all the background noise go away. Even with the USB powering my speakers from my computer it still gave the same bad background noise.

Seems like pioneer does not fix these things when designing these products. Shame.

But at least it is working as intended(mostly) now :/
