I am interested in adding a midi controller to my setup in order to be able to trigger some hot cues, effects, etc. Although, Rekordbox Dj is open to any midi controller (as far as I know), not every one works well with the midi output. I have tested my Maschine and I was able to map all the functions that I need, however, the controller is not able to give me any visual feedback, which is a show stopper for me.
I have done a bit of research and noticed that Reloop's NEON works with midi out by default. So my question is whether there is a way to determine the brants or the controllers that will support this functionality.
I also tried the DDJ-XP1 but since I use 3 decks, I found it a bit easy to get lost in the deck selection. Perhaps, being able to setup multiple deck functionality in a single user group, using the pad window will solve the problem.

The MIDI output is pretty limited in functionality, so even if your controller does accept the signal, there's not much you can do to change it.
With the XP1, changing from one deck to another will change the pad illumination colour allowing for quick visual identification of the current controls.

Thank you for the quick reply. The improvement of the midi mapping utility, I hope, is something that will be addressed in future updates.
