Automatic Hot Cues

Is there a way to have rekordbox automatically set hot cues for your tracks on the DDJ-1000?

Not hot cues but it can get a memory cue at the first beat of a track when analysing.

The only software I know that does it automatically is Mixed in Key but it only works with Serato and Traktor.

I saw a video where it makes hot cues for one of the controllers but it was the one that you don't need the laptop for. Thanks for your answer, hopefully someone may have some other ideas.

can you find and post that video so we can see what you mean? i dont know of any controller that will set a hot cue for you, you would set the hot cue and then when you load the track the next time the hot cue is there for you to use

not sure what you mean by "it does them automatically"

the guys are using rekordbox to set their hot cues manually where they want it to be, then when they load them into a CDJ the hot cues are there to be used. the hot cues are not set by rekordbox automatically

auto hot cue load means the CDJ can now auto load a preset hot cue you made. the original CDJ could not do this, you had to call them up manually after they were set in RB

Got it, thanks. Totally misunderstood the video the first time I watched it.

The only app I'm aware off that can detect "cue points" automatically is Mixed in Key.

usually it doesn't work with Rekordbox. however using this utility it does (MacOS only!)

I don't think that video explained anything. Not sure what it was trying to do.
