XDJ-RX Crossfader doesn't work on Rekorbox DJ

The title pretty much says it all. If I'm in performance mode on Rekordbox DJ and I'm using my XDJ-RX, the crossfader does not do anything. It's as if it's set to thru and I can't find anywhere in the settings on how to unlock the crossfader. There is an option that allows me to adjust the flow of the crossfader if I wanted it to be a hard cut or not, but it's greyed out and does not allow me to adjust anything. It's quite frustrating since I have been practicing my scratching on regular USB's but now that I'm using Rekordbox as it was intended, it will not let me do so. If someone has a fix for this please let me know. I'm using the original XDJ-RX, I will hopefully be upgrading to the RX2 so I wonder if this same problem exists on that model.
