Rekordbox 5.4.0 cues and hotcues not displaying

I updated to Rekordbox 5.4.0 and now in both Export and Performance mode it won't display any of my set cuepoints or hotcues in the player window or cuepoint/hotcue browser. They do show in the small waveform display in the track browser though.

I can set new cuepoints and hotcues and those will then be visible. Or if I reload tags AND set a cue, all previous cues will be visible again. But when restarting RB they're gone again. Also if I've previously maxed out the cues (10) I cannot set more nor delete them in the cue browser as they're not visible.

I've downgraded to RB 5.3.0 again as this is unfortunately unusable. Luckily it seems to just be a display bug and the cues aren't actually gone.

Has anyone seen this before? And is there a fix?

First time I've heard of this -- can you record a video / screen capture of this so we can pass it to the engineers? Please upload to a file sharing service / post to a video site like YouTube. Thanks.

Sure thing, Pulse!

I reinstalled 5.4.0 and that didn't fix it.
Also to note is that this is recorded on my Windows 10 desktop machine but the same thing happens on my Windows 10 DJ laptop so it's not a simple graphic driver issue.
I mirror all files from /PIONEER and /AppData between the two so they're in synch. Maybe that "contaminated" one or the other machine. But reverting to 5.4.3 fixed it in both cases.

This is actually the first bug I've personally come across. Rekordbox has been rock solid to me so all in all, can't complain.

"I mirror all files from /PIONEER and /AppData between the two so they're in sync"

That was something not mentioned in the original post, and is probably the most relevant element here!

Some questions...

- how are you syncing the data between the two computers?

- do you have the same build of Windows 10 on each computer?

- are you using the same username (and path) on each computer?

I synch with Allway Synch, an old but reliable app.

Same build on both machines, Windows 10 version 1803

Same paths on both machines except as I've just now noticed, my username has an uppercase on the laptop. But Windows paths should be case agnostic.

Cheers

I still have to test more but i did a fresh export last week using 5.4 on an external, used it last night and noticed some of the tag info was not exported correctly and some cues i know i set were missing also, i thought nothing of it at the time and just finished off the party but now that i see this post i wonder if its a bigger thing.

i use google drive to sync the pioneer folder as backup but i have benn doing that for about a year with no issue

Even though Windows should ignore the case-sensitivity, rekordbox itself, does not. You'll need to correct that.

I'll create a new lowercase login to test this out but no other programs have had any issues with it and this just happened in 5.4.0. Previous versions have no problem.

And why would both machines not be able to read the info?

I'm not at my machines now but I did change rekordbox3.settings earlier to uppercase as on that particular workstation. Are there any other path locations I should check for wrong cases?

Looks like the latest beta fixes the problem. Looking forward to the full release.

Thanks!
