Do you have the drivers installed? Are you using the latest firmware? Which version of rekordbox are you using, and on which OS?

XDJ RX2 CAN'T USE BROWSE SCREEN AT ALL WHEN IN MIDI MODE
When I'm connected to my computer in MIDI mode, tracks and folders are not displayed in a list on the BROWSE screen of the hardware. I can't use the buttons of the hardware to select songs nor I can use the touch screen keyboard. I can only interfere from the software. Why can't I do both in MIDI mode? When I select REKORDBOX instead, then its only for the EXPORT mode.
Is there anywhere I can be on PERFORMANCE mode (be able to use my samplers and all) and still search for tracks on the browse screen of my hardware and not be limited to only my computer screen for track selection?

Hey! Well that was a quick response, thank you very much :) Yes, I am using the latest firmware, rekordbox ver 5.4.0, and OS X El Capitan ver 10.11.6. Could you specify which drivers I need to install? I think I should be all set because otherwise I couldn't link my hardware to the computer and I have no problem connecting both- but I'm not sure...

Please note that to use rekordbox in EXPORT mode, you are using the rekordbox button on the controller and need to use the LINK EXPORT drivers. In this mode you're able to use rekordbox as if you had a USB drive connected to the RX2 itself.
To use rekordbox in PERFORMANCE mode with the MIDI button on the controller, you need the standard AUDIO drivers, and there is no ability to search from the RX2 itself. The reason there's no keyboard control from the RX2 at that time is because the unit would need to operate as a USB keyboard device, which in itself, is quite complex.
