XDJ-RX2 1.33 update issues

Hi,

Is anyone else having issues updating the latest software?

I've held down USB stop and re-loop exit, inserted my USB into USB1 and nothing loads. I've tried re formatting the USB at least 20 times and still nothing.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Fabian Grillo

1) Did you format the drive to FAT32 with MBR (master boot record)?

2) When you downloaded the ZIP, did you use Safari? If so, it may have become corrupted; please use a different browser.

3) Did you unzip the firmware file from within the ZIP?

4) Did you place the update file on the root of the USB drive (not within a folder)?

5) Was that the only update file on the drive?

6) Does the controller boot into firmware update mode when you hold the Deck 2 RELOOP/EXIT and USB 1 STOP buttons as in the instructions?

7) Is the USB to the computer disconnected at the time?

I've got a mac book, which only allows me to format in MS DOS FAT (no option for master boot record) All these other steps ill followed, and still have no luck.

What other options do i have? As my system is running slow & having issues with sync mode etc.

Thanks

@pulse :

How can it be formatted in MBR? What does it mean in USB format, master boot record? Is it the same formatting in fat32 or Exfat? Thank you

No - you must format the file system as FAT32 (aka "MS-DOS FAT" -- NOT exFAT, that's different), and you need to have a master boot record on the drive or it can't be loaded for firmware update use.
