TSP-16 - External midi, wishes and lots of love

Dear Pioneer

Regarding the Toraiz SP-16

I am absolutely in love with it. It is "the Box" I have bin searching for, some 20+ years now.TSP-16 is perfect because it is NOT depending on a computer/DAW and it simply sounds fantastic - but I feel it is not complete yet.

I deeply miss a dedicated "Drum channel" mode, so that I/we could assign Drum sounds by Midi numbers . I seem to easily waste 16 channels if/when I want to work with Drum-kits. Maybe it's me being dumb.

I cannot figure out just how to play my external keyboard into TSP-16's sequencer. It does work very well with the Sample tracks, but not the rest of my lovely Midi rig. Sometimes TSP-16 allows me to REC a track as a sample-track and the switch the mode of said track to midi, but not always. (?) It would be sweet to just hit Record and then notes/CC's would be recorded in the sequencer - while TSP-16 works it's magic - Scale, triggers etc.

My 3 wishes:

Visible Project name - It is such a inspiring machine, I often loose track of what version of song/Project I am currently working on.

Export of Midi patterns and Sequences for further editing elsewhere.

A user config/set-up for external gear - like the Torais AS-1 shows up in the list of TSP-16.

A "Truncate" feature for the samples. (Yeah I know - I suffer the "Roland-brain" bug :-)

A true ADSR - Maybe even reflected in the nice screen.

Kind regards, Lindstrom-dk

Yes please. There is a on-screen keyboard already implemented so we should  be able to assign names to MIDI tracks and define external MIDI instruments with their MIDI CC's named, like the AS-1 track type.

What this means is that we could have the option to set a MIDI track to be a drum track and then assign names to MIDI notes, so instead of seeing "C1" we see "Kick Drum",  for example.

I would really like to use the SP-16 at the center of my studio and stop using Ableton Live but the MIDI sequencing is missing a few important features like this... please make it happen, Pioneer!

Be pioneers like your name suggests!
