RB DMX1 5s lag

Greetings from Germany,

after playing around with the lighting macro editor I finally messed up the whole software by creating my own macro and replacing generic macro as shown in the pioneer videos. My lights are now following the music with a delay of more than 5 seconds.

The DMX signal comes out of the RB-DMX1 with a delay of around 3 to 6s. By opening the live view of the individual lighting fixtures the lighting cursor moves in sync to the music but the actual lights respond drastically delayed.

What I already tried:

Reinstall rekordbox

Reinstall RB DMX1 driver

Reboot

Reset lighting setting

Reset to default of all settings

Reset all macro connections

Please help me as I want to enjoy this product further on.

With best regards

@Fabian > You're using an AMD processor, which is not supported by rekordbox, as a result you may experience irregular performance from the software. Unfortunately this is not something that will change, and you'll find most DJ applications have the same requirements of an Intel CPU.

Did you change this setting at all? And does it make a difference if you change it?

Sorry to hear about that, let me escalate this issue for you and see if our engineers have any ideas as to what might be causing it.

Hi there,

I have copied all my rekordbox system files from my main system to another computer. (C:\Users\Fabian\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox) There is no lag on the other system with these files.

The problem however remains after reinstallation on my main system. That is really annoying. Do you have any new tips for me to try out?

With best regards

Well to be honest, I cant see any difference. The problem is that I can only change the delay compensation within the range of -500ms to +500ms. With a delay of randomly 3s to 5s there is no notable difference. I am sorry.

Do you have any other ideas? Is there a way to extend the compensation range like changing a value in some kind of .ini file?

With best regards

Our team is investigating what might be the cause, I thought I'd just throw that out to see if perhaps there was a glitch related to that slider which amplified the delay.

Thank you for your answer. I have started this topic because everything worked fine for hours with my AMD processor. The moment I created my first custom lighting scene everything crashed and the big delay occured. Does this only relate to my processor?

I dont think you can say that AMD processors are not supported in general and thats it. As a company like pioneer with so many great products and the fastest customers support I have ever seen, there must be more we can do. Do you have any other suggestions I can try?

Please dont get me wrong but did I just spend 400€ for nothing, because I have not read the system requirements? I am sorry but I have never heard of this AMD restriction as I have never encountered any problems. I am using rekordbox for years on my AMD and as most people do, I have not read the system requirements I have to admit. Then this would be my fault.

Our engineers are still looking into this but unfortunately any success you may have had with using rekordbox on an AMD processor may have been sheer luck, as there are plenty of users who have nothing but problems with performance.

The system requirements for rekordbox can be found here. As you can see, it does not list any AMD processors.

Hello everyone, I personally work on table showtec 1024 and to simplify I just bought the case RB-dmx1, I think it's missed, problem of intro sync with the music is widely shifted.
Lyres do not use all their abilities as well as the bars leds and so on.
It is urgent that the update arrives.
Possitive point the hotline creates the fixtures in record time, must wait for the update to find our machines available on rekodbox.
