Rekordbox DJ hot cue performance

Haven't seen this posted, hoping I can describe my issue. Wondering if there is a way to get the cue button to return to the most recently used hot cue. Say I load up a song. It has my first cue point where the song starts. I set a hot cue there as well. Then I set a hot cue for the first beat of the verse. And another hot cue for the first beat of the chorus. I hit the hot cue button for the second one, where the verse starts playing. When I hit the cue button, it always goes back to the very first cue point. I set memory cues in export mode, but that doesn't seem to transfer over to performance mode.
I'm starting fresh with Rekordbox after 10 years in Virtual DJ. In VDJ, the cue button snaps back to your most recently used hot cue. Is there a way to make this work in Rekordbox? It's driving me nuts!

Unless you're using rekordbox in performance mode, in which case you could enable GATED hot cue functionality, which wouldn't require the "play / pause / realign with the jog" step; just press the hot cue, press the main CUE and you're done.

If you go to a hot cue, you need to pause and line up the cue with the jog wheel and then hit the main cue button so that it lines up with that hot cue marker. If you hit the main cue button while the track is playing it will return to the beginning if you haven't done the above action.

Memory cues are accessed differently than hot cues, which you access via your pads. You can use the shift and track backwards/forwards buttons to jump between them. They appear as solid markers whereas the hot cues have letters. They also don't start playing automatically when you jump to them.

I am still trying to rap my head around it myself coming from Serato. There, you use the pads to go to the hot cue, but the track doesn't automatically start playing like it does in Rekordbox (provided that the track is not playing). I think the implementation in Serato is better because their hot cues act like memory cues (don't start playing automatically if track is paused) and are accessible from the pads.

RECAP: If you press the hot cue pad and immediately pause, line up the cue with Jog, hit the main cue, then you can do what you want. Once you play and hit the main cue again it will take you back to your hot cue point.

Hi, I am currently using Rekordbox DJ with a DDJ200. This has never happened before but when I click on a hot cue, there is a delay. It waits til the song is at the end of a beat to jump to that cue. This has never been the case. The hot cue has always been immediately responsive. Is there a setting i’m missing? I have also enabled GATE.
