I HAVE The same problem and the same devices
I have read other forums i think the problem is pioneer -serato - high sierra
Hi guys i have DDJ SR2
macbook pro (Retina, 13inch late 2013)
High Sierra v10.13.5
2,4 GHz intel core i5
8gb memory
serato dj pro 2.0.3
Yesterday i setup my system, connect controller to the receiver with XLR cable. After one hour playing, the music stopped. The wave bar was moving very slowly but now sound, the audio drop out light was orange and the and the cpu meter was 1/3 filled. I restarted serato dj pro and reloaded the same song, and again the wave bar was moving slow and no sound after pressing the play button. I closed the system, refreshed the pRam memory, option key cmd P and R key. Started serato dj pro and after 5 songs the music stopped again but now the wave bar stopped too and the audio drop out meter was red, cpu meter was 1/3 filled. I turn down the volume but there was still some distortion sound going out after pressed the stop button the distortion sound stopped. Can anyone help me to find the problem?
After that i restarted serato again but now I used an other usb cable and connected this with an other usb port, i dont know if this can be the solution but i really need to know what the problem is. I had 40 gigs with the same setup and no issue at all until yesterday.

Hi Daniela, i have around 10000 music files in my playlist. Today i found out a few were corrupt. I removed these and after that i had no issue anymore. Can you check your serato for corrupt files?
Corrupt files aren't likely to be the issue - more that the SR2 isn't receiving adequate power from the USB. If you're using it without the DC power, please try connecting that before doing down any other troubleshooting rabbit-holes.
the dc power is always connected. I have connect the power first, second the usb, i start serrato and push the power button of de ddi sr2. Maybe other steps are needed?
I am having this same problem too Pioneer. with DC adaptor plugged in using
OS 10.13.6
Macbook pro 2017 13" no touch bar
16gb ram
512ssd
Please help!
