RB-DMX 1not working correctly

Hi there,

Yesterday I've been testing the RB-DMX 1 on my lighting rig.

This rig features 8 x Chauvet DJ Intimidator Trio, 20 x Chauvet DJ Freedom Quad 4-IP and 8 Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot 260. All driven by a Chauvet DJ Datastream 4.

All have been set up correctly in the Fixture Library and every unit lights up when clicking on it (moving heads are in home position).

After phrase analysing a few tracks we got 'some output' in performance mode. Colors were responding but no movement at all. No gobo changes.  All the heads are pointing upwards and to the right. It all looked dull. Rather dissapointing.

In the macro editor same story. Some colours, but no movements, no gobo changes. And it's not looking like in your video's.

I've been testing RB-DMX 1 against SoundSwitch and there everything works well. I also ran the rig on a Zero 88 FLX. No problems there. So I know the rig is performing like it should be.

So what am I doing wrong? Am I missing something? I cannot imagine I need to add movement on the 170 macro's already present?

Sorry, there is currently no gobo functionality within rekordbox lighting - we hope to have that included in a future update. Thanks and glad to hear you got it running.

I expect you've got the channel modes for the fixtures in the grid matching the fixture setting for number of DMX channels used.

Have you got the fixtures selected as "moving head 1-4" on the list at the right?

Hi,

I  selected moving head 1 through 4 for the moving heads.

Kind regards,

Laurent

Ok, I've done a reinstall of Rekordbox and started off with a clean sheet. I've noticed that the fixture update got changed over the weekend. All is looking good now. I've got movement, color change, dim fades... Only thing what's missing is the gobo section part. No gobo changes and for the Intimidator Trio's there's this Spot and Rotation function that looks lovely.

But the good news is, it's up and running. A reinstall did the trick.

It's running. But it's not 'snappy'. SoundSwitch changes colour on the beat and creates wild and beautiful movements. While RB-DMX 1 looks rather dull and slow.

Also the missing gobo feature does not help at all.

@Laurent > Have you checked to see if adjusting the delay within the lighting settings helps make it "snappy"?
