The XDJ-R1 does not have a license for rekordbox dj; it was originally shipped with a license key for rekordbox 2.x, which required a key for general use to manage and export your music, however that was changed with version 3 to make it free to use the music-management features. With rekordbox 4's release, a key was required for the performance mode (connecting hardware to control the software), but the old R1 key is not valid for this mode.
