That "123" is the standby mode.
Try opening the DDJ-1000 driver version display utility, close it, then open your DJ software.

DDJ-100 Not working, not recognizing to accept drivers, displaying 123 when not in use.
I bought a ddj-1000 and I'm having a hard time installing this unit. Mac OS Sierra (Not High Sierra) is NOT recognizing this unit. It won't accept installation of firmware 1.05 and (I'm not kidding) it displays on the lcd screen every 5 minutes "no audio driver then it displays 123 on the LCD display screen"! But when I reboot the unit you see in the beat fx display screen "ver. 1.05". So is this a defective unit?

I appreciate the reply and help but I returned the unit. I decided to try the Denon MCX8000. Peace.
