Trouble Resetting Master Track to Original BPM After Sync Without Manual Tempo Slider

I recently purchased the DDJ-1000 and, among other quarrels, I've had the most frustration with syncing the tempo of two tracks in Rekordbox. I am familiar with the fact that I can't change the tempo in track 1 when track 2 is the master. I also know that I can turn off 'beat sync' and simply slide the tempo slider to the master bpm to "unlock" the slave track and then bring it back to its original tempo manually, however I find this to be incredibly sloppy when trying to do a quick transition back to the original tempo for effect.

For example, say I have a house track playing on deck 1 at 124 BPM as the master, and a glitch funk track at 110 BPM on deck 2 that is currently synced up at 124. When deck 1 (master) is ready for transition, I want to quickly and smoothly revert back to the original tempo in a silent section of track 2. I can turn off the beat sync and flip the fader, but it is incredibly difficult to do quickly or smoothly enough to not sound sloppy. I can't find a tempo reset option in the keyboard shortcuts or midi section.

Any help with this from Pioneer would be greatly appreciated! Even if the simple fact is that there's no way around this, but someone has advice or tips to do it another way, I will be open to learning new skills in order to improve upon this art as a whole. I understand that all software has its limitations, but innovation usually finds a way around it, so I'm also welcoming all creative suggestions from anyone who has something to offer.

Cheers

This is known as a "software pickup," and there is no way around it as the pitch fader doesn't employ a relative-pitch movement, so to ensure the pitch doesn't simply "jump" back to zero (or the fader position), you need to first move the fader to where the software has the pitch value.

Sorry!

In another software, I mapped SHIFT+SYNC and the track automatically, gradually (like 1 BPM/second) returns to its original tempo... It's a very useful thing for me.
