No; the SX3 is a software controller, and the audio input is not routed through the software to measure the BPM. Sorry.
Hi all,
Been slowly upgrading my setup and currently it has: CDJ-900nxs and Technics SL-1200m6 as sources and DJM-300 as mixer.
Been thinking of adding computer/USB into the game so upgrading to 4 channels controller like DDJ-SX3 seems to make sense.
However, one feature that I really like on my trusty DJM-300 is the BPM counter, especially when I'm mixing from vinyl. I can't seem to find this feature on DDJ, or any other mixer/controller for that matter. I do notice that CDJ-900nxs does have BPM but it doesn't help the BPM on vinyl?
Is BPM counter obsolete since everyone is full-on digital or I missed the feature somewhere?

actually I double checked and it does look like BPM counter is available on some of the higher end mixer/controller. Still curious whether BPM counter for phono channel is available on DDJ-SX3.
Thanks for the comment. Am I right to assume all DDJ controller would NOT offer BPM counter on audio input?
DJM mixer is the ONLY way to go if I want to measure BPM on analog audio input?
Alec - the ddj-1000 has an onboard bpm counter that can be used with external inputs which could aid you when mixing vinyl.
@Alec > As @Ravinstomper posted, the DDJ-1000 is the only DDJ with that function.
