There is no audio input from the controller and the mic is not routed through the software (it's direct-to-master), so is not captured in the recording. Sorry!
Hi,
Is there any reason why i cant record music and microphone activity using my SB3 and Serato Pro?
I have a condenser mike with phantom power going through a mixer, yet i can only record music but not anything through the mic?
I have tried connecting a mic directly to the SB3 (dynamic mic so not needing phantom power) but still can't seem to record?
When the mic is connected, i can hear through the speakers suggesting the mic works?
Is this something to do with with the controllers capabilities? I read on a different forum that the SB3 can't record both, but i don't think that is true?
Would value help here.
Thanks.

OK thanks, so i was one the right track, its the controller then.....regardless of what i do? Anyway around this other than using a external recording program?
You could - you'd need to run the master outputs into a line-in on another audio interface to record to other software.
