Have you adjusted the audio buffer (latency) in the audio preferences? It could be the value is too large.
Greetings!
I typically run CDJ's but my friend recently got a new DDJ 1000 and I wanted to hop on with my laptop to give a test run. I installed the driver and the controller links to my laptop just fine and I'm able to control my laptop from the controller. The issue is that there is a lag time, probably about a 1/4 of a beat whenever I drop on a hot cue or even the play and cue button. I've tried all variations of disabling quantize, adjusting the beat variations of quantize to 1/4, 1/8 and even 1/16 and there still seems to be some lag to drop in the new beat. For kicks, I plugged a usb stick into my friend's laptop to see if he was having any of the same issues, and nope, his worked seamlessly and was snappy whenever I hit a hot cue pad. Any ideas what could be causing the hiccup here? Many thank yous for any assistance!
