Bpm changes all the time even tought it is analyzed in normal mode. I am using dvs.

Title pretty much says all and I didn't find a solution yet.

Tracks are being analyzed in normal. I even adjusted my whole setup new cause i thought maybe its just the flatter of my vinyls. But this didnt solve the problem.

The worst about this: the bpm changes so fast so often not even bpm sync can keep up with it, resulting in destroying transitions.

Is there any solution?

what turntables are you using? how much bpm difference is there to destroy your mix?

the rotation of a turntable us not always 100% being mechanical there is something called wow and flutter. this is why the bpm has fluctuations. however this should be only small (give or take .5 bpm). this is why you still need to nudge and drag when mixing vinyl.

cheap turntables have weak motors and will differ greatly. super oem or technics are what you need for motor stabilisation.

when you play in internal mode I bet the bpm is solid.

Thank you for your fast replay.

I use Pionner PLX-1000. I mostly Play internal mode. Doesn't work.

Even though it only differs like .5 it disturbs the transitions. I do not have this problem when using real vinyl.

Well, i see a lot of variations with my setup too (2 plx1000, macbook pro i5, allen & heath xone 43c and ortofon twin dj).

I'm playing in 2 small clubs and absolutely everything causes the variation, the booth output, the stability of the booth itself (table, floor...), the vibration of the sound system on the table and equipment.

I'm working on prevent this type of interference on my DVS, but, this problem occurs with controllers too.

I've noticed rekordbox is really sensitive to bpm variations even with the ddj 1000 (friend) and ddj sx2 (mine), with 0.20 (two decimal on controllers) of difference, it starts to fail on beatmatch within a phrase or less, 3 bars sometimes... You have to keep your hand adjusting the pitch all the time.

For hip-hop, scratch djs, or other type of guys who don't use blend mixing or use fast mixing, its not a problem.

To blender mixer, like me and other guys who plays house and variations, it is a problem.

Serato has a feature called "anti drift", to prevents such variation on dvs setups and prevents it from the box on controllers (need much time to loose match with small differences), may be rekordbox needs to think something like this.

Just found out I am using Relative-mode not Internal. But I cant get it work with my controll Vinyls. I dont even know if it is possible. Instruction is pretty unclear about this.

select absolute mode.

internal is not dvs.

relative is dvs with all the cue points and loops etc but the pitch might be off and you can't needle search.
Absolute is as if the vinyl was the original press of your track but cant use cues or loops etc but pitch will be accurate to position and rotation of the vinyl.

I know the difference, thank you anyways :)

Official Setup guide says my turntables Support internal-mode. Still cant get it running.

Plx 1000 are purist turntables, no usb, no controller features, no pre-amp, just phono or noise signal, it doesn't work with internal mode, it is for controllers and hid mode.

Rekordbox dvs works with serato cards/mixers and serato vinyls, pioneer controllers (i'm using a serato mixer and serato performance vinyls) and rekordbox gear, from the box, all you need is the license.

The way rekordbox works in internal mode with turntables is when you need to fix something on the turntables, you can switch to internal mode on the fly, the rekordbox keeps playing at the current tempo and you can clean the needle, switch cables, even replace the turntables, without the need to stop de sound.

If you can make it work in relative and absolute mode and the variations still, it can be a lot of things like bad cartridges/needles, bad place location, incorrect calibration of noise, balance, anti drifting, etc...

What mixer you are using?

You are currently playing or not?
