DDJ 400 headphones not working.

Hello everyone, I'm new to dj'ing and just got my first ever dj controller today, the ddj 400.  But I have a problem.  I don't have any speakers so I'm using the ones on my laptop.  The thing is that I can only hear audio out of my laptop speakers when my settings are like this.

But if I change the audio settings to this I can hear only out of my headphones.

Any advice?

Did you turn up the MASTER knob? Do you see any activity on the LED meters?

Check to make sure your DDJ-400 is NOT set as the default Windows output audio device. If it is, rekordbox can't properly use it for audio output and you'll find things like the headphones won't work as expected.

Hi,

I am also having this exact issue! My head phones, in normal working condition(tested) are not working when plugged into my DDJ-400 even though:

1. Master is up

2. Settings: Rekordbox refuses to select DDJ-400 WASAPI as an audio setting? when selected it automatically selects no input.

3. As recommended: my PC is set to use its built-in speakers, not the DDJ-400.

Was there a solve to this or is this a issue with the product?

@Aubrey > If you can't hear it in the headphones, check the headphone mix knob and be sure you've pressed the cueing button for the channel you want to hear in the headphones.
