DDJ 1000 Channel (2) fader feeling real rough

Hey guys,

My channel 2 fader has started to feel rough on bringing the fader up and down. Sometimes it sort of catches too, when I'm flicking the channel fader down quickly.

Without putting it into service, is there anything I can try and hope to lube her up a bit (safely?).
