Rekordbox and DDJ-RBs unable to play with headphones

 

I am having continuous problems with my pioneer DJ-RB decks which is leaving me increasingly frustrated as this is my first time using a Pioneer product. At the moment I simply cannot get my audio setup so that i can play my decks with a pair of headphones plugged into the jack on the DDJ-RBs. I've attached a screenshot of how the audio settings look on rekordbox when i connect my decks to my laptop and have headphones in the DJ headphone jack. That appears to be the default setup but i hear absolutely no sound even when i try to tinker with different settings and i can find no help on your website to sort this. In order to learn to beatmatch i need to be able to play one of the RB decks through say the laptop speakers and the other through my headphones and i have no fucking idea how to achieve this right now. At the very least your software/deck should be able to to just launch and work all this tinkering about is annoying as hell and for such a well known brand you expect so much more efficiency. I've have a screenshot of how my audio settings look automatically when i plug my decks via usb to the laptop - load Rekordbox - have my headphones connected to decks if you want to look at it as nothing seems to be out of order. Please just tell me what is going wrong or give me simple step by step instructions how to arrange everything so that i can actually DJ on my laptop because believe it or not that's what i wanted to do when i bought this thing.

 

Just to eliminate some basic troubleshooting steps here is some quick information to get us forward;

 

-My headphones work fine connected to the laptop/any other audio device its purely the DJ decks that they don't work with.

 

-My laptop is a Windows MSI Gaming laptop which strong specs and is relatively new so no issues there.Windows 10 64 bit

 

-When there is no sound coming from the decks they still respond to the laptop software and load up the tracks so they do connect just fine.

 

-If i have my DJ decks connected to my laptop and have my Rokit speakers in the laptop headphone jack i can play with sound but i need to change the preferences > audio section in Rekordbox to Speakers (RealTechR Audio). They work fine with the software.

 

Please get this working for me.
