FollowSerato to Rekordbox features
Hi all,
I’m looking to potentially switch from Serato to Rekordbox however need to verify if I can do the following two actions in Rekordbox (with a DDJ1000) and how:
1) Move the track wave form back beyond 0 beat. In Serato, you can Shift+Platter back and you can move up to 32 beats before the track start and press Play. This will allow you to prep a beat drop in time with the playing track and work on other actions knowing that when you reach beat 0 that it will play as prepped. From what I can see in Rekordbox, you can go back past beat 0.
2) Be able to change the Tempo slider without affecting the BPM. In Serato, you can hold Shift+Tempo Up/Down and it won’t affect the playing BPM. This allows you to return to manipulate the tempo slider to where you require it to be for the next song, however no matter how I try, on the DDJ1000 it changes the BPM of the current playing song.
Can both of these above actions be completed somehow in Rekordbox? They can be potentially deal breakers from going from Serato to Rekordbox, apart from that, the DDJ1000 is a beast!!
Cheers,
Raef
