Rekordbox and read/write errors with tagging

I have this annoying problem where when I'm updating my metadata (e.g. track name), Rekordbox won't save it. It appears that Rekordbox has the track 'open' and so won't write to it. Even when I 'eject' the track, I still get the problem. I have to close out of Rekordbox and reopen for it to 'release' the track so that I can overwrite track name.

Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I should add that it doesn't always happen. Sometimes when I eject the track, Rekordbox allows me to update the metadata. I'm trying to reproduce it now...

Okay I can reproduce it simply by loading the track in again, and then ejecting it. At that point, I can't edit the metadata anymore. Seems like a bug.

Works for me ... which version of rekordbox / OS are you using, and what's the filetype you're trying to edit?

At work, but will check and confirm later. From memory, I'm using the latest non-beta version of Rekordbox. I have this problem with all file types I think, although the one I tested on most recently was mp3s.

My files are stored on OneDrive if that makes any difference.

That certainly could -- and unfortunately we don't provide any support for non-local drives (either networked devices or cloud storage) at this time.

I'm using 5.4.3. Can you tell me if you can update all metadata when the track is loaded?
