I use an external HD for the Master Database and for the music files.
I switch between 2 computers effortlessly EXCEPT WITH THE SAMPLE PACK!
1. When I DL the sample pack and install on MAC 1, everything installs fine.
2. When I connect the external HD to MAC 2, of course none of the sample files are found so I DL and install them just as I did on MAC 1, but Now I get TWO sets of samples and one entire set is "missing files". If I remove the set of samples that are missing and just leave the good set, it works fine UNITL I switch computers again.
Then all the samples are missing on MAC 1 now. I also cannot relocate them because it says they are already there.

The sample pack is provided as part of rekordbox. To add it to your computer you can click File > Import > Download Sampler Pack, download the file, then click File > Import > Download Sampler Pack and point it to the file you downloaded. It will store the samples in the correct (default) location.
All other samples you import are stored as part of your collection.
