That sounds like a potential firmware update failure.
Hold the SLIP REVERSE + 4 BEAT LOOP / EXIT buttons on the left deck while powering-on the DDJ, then try running the update again.
After attempting to install the latest firmware and driver for the Pioneer DDJ1000 I noticed issues with my controller. First it now wont read in Rekordbox what-so-ever and now it wont even really turn on. All it does is blink a red light in the Master Volume LED display

Okay, I did that and re-ran the update. It was successful but now the Drivers wont install which still brings me to my initial issue of it not responding to Rekordbox. Any idea? It just keeps failing at installing the Drivers
And I might need to purchase a new laptop with Windows 10 instead of 7 to successfully make this work. Will I also then need to repurchase Rekordbox?
Im having the same issue, trying to hold the slip reverse/4 beat loop but getting the ssme light
It could also indicate a failure in the power circuitry; please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.
