Audio playback won't work when I am hooked up to my laptop through MIDI in performance mode, but works fine using USB on the XDJ-RX2?

I have downloaded the latest version of Rekordbox, followed all the instructions and installed all drivers with multiple restarts. However, I am unable to listen back to audio on the controller, I have been using similar equipment for many year's now so understand 'level, mixing & cue buttons' are all checked first. This seems to be an issue with either the drivers or the unit itself as it keeps prompting me to download the latest version? I have downloaded this version multiple times with restarts

@Darran > If you're using a Mac running Mojave or High Sierra, you may have missed the step during installation to allow the drivers through the OS security. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Disconnect the XDJ-RX2.
  2. Download the driver.
  3. Open the driver package and run the uninstaller file.
  4. Reboot your computer.
  5. Open the driver package and run the driver installation file.
  6. After the installation has completed, give the drivers permission.
  7. Reboot your computer.
  8. Connect the XDJ-RX2 and test as normal.
